  • DriveABLE Cognitive Screening and In-Car Driving Assessment

    Gaining, regaining, or maintaining driving privileges is one of the essential elements of independent living. Let our approved clinical driving evaluator assess your loved one's driving skills and help them retain their driving privileges. 

    With over 30 years of experience, Thomas M. Antkow CDE, DRS, RHAB, and founder of Adult Driver Services has been an approved clinical driving evaluator since 1975. He has trained over 10,000 clients while working at Phoenix Baptist Hospital in Arizona and Sharp Memorial Rehabilitation Center in San Diego, CA. 

    Besides evaluating driving skills, this program assesses physical, functional, cognitive, and perceptual issues related to operating a motor vehicle. A full evaluation will be conducted in your vehicle and may require a physician's prescription to schedule an appointment.

    From teens to senior drivers, whether you are just starting out or in need of a refresher course, all phases of driver evaluation testing and professional instruction are offered at our facilities.

  • 1-Hour Private In-Vehicle Performance Evaluation

    An additional private supplimental behind-the-wheel observational hands on Performance driving session to dovetail with the clinical evaluation to complete the report.

    This session is conducted in the client vehicle, on an Approved "BTW" on the road, street course.

    The pre-determined course consists of various driving situations including residential, and commercial roadways. Hills, curves and challenging decision making and traffic variants are involved. this tests the participants advanced planning, hazard recognition, space management, and defensive driving skills.

    Vehicle operations and handling are included in the assignments.
